Born in Seoul and raised in the multicultural city of Montreal, Yohan Lee blends his Eastern heritage with a Western upbringing, creating a sound that is uniquely his own. Also known as AIVAN, where he promoted his music as a singer-songwriter, Yohan is now embracing a more personal and introspective approach to his artistry under his given name.

He initially earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mass communication at Yonsei University before following his passion for music with a degree in film scoring, studying under notable figures in the South Korean film industry.

Yohan’s untraditional, experimental approach to composition distinguishes him, as he combines a variety of sounds to craft innovative works. As a multi-instrumentalist, his orchestration skills allow him to seamlessly merge different musical textures.
